1904 – completion of the building at number 18A Adama Mickiewicza Street in Poznań
1923 – Marcel Pielatowski, a mercer from Inowrocław, aquires the half-timbered tenement house at number 18A Adama Mickiewicza Street in Poznań for his family
1940 – the whole Pielatowskis family is deported to Kraków by the Nazis
1945 – after the end of World War II, Pielatowskis return to Poznań. Pielatowskis are forcibly shorn of administration of the building and there is only a single room left for them
2001 – Marcel’s granddaughter, Anna Linkowska-Nowak takes over the ruined tenement house and begins gradual renovations
2006 – the first four ’20s- and ’30s-styled apartments are completed
2006 – 2015 – we gradually enlarge the Retro Apartments complex

Our tenement house is a building with a past. Year 1923 is significant for the house, when a mercer Marceli Pielatowski bought it and made it the centre of his family life. War turmoil caused the loss of its owner at the time. However, because of the determination of his relatives, today we can enjoy the building, where the decorative gems are located, and their significance brings to mind the elegant inter-war years.
